On Honeymoon Posting

Well, did i tell earlier that i started my forensic posting last week. haha. I'll be having this posting for 2 weeks. I hate forensic honestly. I hate the smell of dead body, even worse, the decomposed body. But have to endure it for this two weeks. Last group look a little relax on this posting, so i hope after a hard work in Klinik Kesihatan Luyang, i will be enjoying my honeymoon for this 2 weeks in forensic.

Basically, forensic posting is all about waiting. Waiting for the dead to come. And if there is a body come to the department, we all would e very happy. To think in a common sense way, it is not apt to be happy about it. But that is all the entertainment for us. If there is no death, then we will be like a dumb waiting in our pantry.

The problem is, lot of the classes were cancel within this two weeks, and there is not much dead people arrived. Hell. I only went for 2 post mortem, and both cases were not suitable for a case report that have to submit next Monday. I will be dead if i keep like this. Now it is already friday. Should i expect that there will be a murder or suicide case tomorrow? Should i pray for it?

Since we do not have so much cases, one of the case presentation has to be postponed next week. That day we already end our forensic posting. And the other case presentation would be today. But, in the last 30 minutes of waiting for it, the session was postpone suddenly. To when? To the date that even us did not know.

So basically, i am having my honeymoon within this two weeks. Not much dead people. Chinese New Year Holiday some more. Cancel the presentation, the practical and everything. This posting is by far the worse posting i ever experienced. Posting that we can't control the time and schedule. I remember Dr.Choubey say to us, Forensic posting is really unpredictable. We have to wait for the teaching materials cause the teaching materials would not be there as you wish it will be. And to pray for a death is not a good thing to do. No death, means harmony, but mean nothing to learn for us. Worse of you were asked to submit 2 case report in two weeks time where you did not know whether there will be a case to be reported or not.

Haha, anyway, in a positive way, i really enjoy my honeymoon. haha. 2 weeks of honeymoon. What else do you ask for?

'So make the best of this test and don't ask why. It is not a questions but a lesson learn in time...' Greenday.

Ready to cut!

Astro Remote volume not responding

I have been looking around for solution when my Astro beyond remote start having problem where it does not want to control the volume of my astro anymore.

The strange thing is, the remote seem fine and only the mute and volume won't respond.

After realizing that the remote cost around rm250 to be replaced, I start thinking that this is not an ordinary remote control.

After a few minutes of research (only) I found out that this remote can be programmed to be synchronize with our television.

Hmmm. So the remote problem must be cause by it some programming error.

Turn out of you have similar problem like this, all you had to do is to press OK button with volume down until it bleep 4 times then it will be ok. This method canceled the volume control for the television ( meaning that you can only control the tv volume not the decoder).

Later I found out that if you want, you can use your tv only volume to control the astro thus no hassle to have 2 remote at the same time.

Master in Pathology (Malaysia): A Guide To Apply.

Well, I got carried away in previous post talking about my experience taking entrance exam for Master in Pathology. You can check it here:

Master In Pathology: My Experience Entrance Exam That was not my first attention on trying to write such post. My intention was to share on how to get into that entrance exam in the first place. So here it is. A step by step guide on how to get yourself into the entrance exam.
A Guide to Apply for Master in Pathology (Mpath)
1. Make up your mind. I've seen a few of my friends who apply for this pathway and get confused before it begin. Ask yourself, are you really interested in Pathology? Do you know what pathology is? Do you know what kind of work are you going to do in Pathology.
Most of the time, people thought pathology MO or specialist were all just sitting down drinking coffee and chit chat all day long. No work to do. Think again. The best thing to do is to get yourself into the department itself. Work as a pathology MO first, in a few…

Becoming a medical officer in Malaysia: Are you still a real doctor?

To recap from my previous post, a person must completed 5-6 years study in medical school, pass their professional exam, enter 2 years house officer training program, pass their exam and completed their logbooks, then a person can now be called a fully registered Medical Officer / Medical Doctor.

A Journey of a Junior Medical Officer

After 7 or 8 years experience, a house officer will be given a full registration under Malaysian Medical Council. This registration process is a lengthy process which takes up months before it will be completed. Most doctors will apply for full registration 4 months before they finish their house officer training program. The registration will be processed only if all the criteria has been fulfilled by the house officer which includes log book, review by a board of specialist, no disciplinary action recorded, and other paper work stuff that need to be settled. A full registration means that the doctor now can practice as a doctor independently. They can wo…
