Eng Kiong Aircon Service

I am no expert in car. I am just a normal guy who drive a Proton Persona elegance. Up until now i am so fortunate that my car did not cost me a lot of problem. What i did is to service that car every 3-4 month once and thats pretty much what i did.

I never service my aircond before thus last week i went to one shop in my hometown, Labuan. This shop is called Eng Kiong Aircon service. This place was recommended by my father. In the first  place, I only plan to refill my aircon gas however when i reached the shop, the foreman told me that there is nothing wrong with my car aircon. I knew better than him. I drove the car and i can tell how hot is it when driving it on a sunny day. Never happen like this before. So i know there is something wrong with it.

The second opinion from another foreman told me that its time to service my aircon already. It has been 2 years and I never service my car aircon. Fair enough. Lets give it a try.

To my surprise, I was charged RM 450 to fully service my car aircon. I am still positive on it. Maybe my car aircon is that terrible so they need to replace a lot of stuff.

To my surprise again, when I got the receipt, it only stated there : open dashboard, something something i forgot,  vacuum, cleaning the coil, reinstall the dashboard, refill gas.

I did ask whether they replace anything that cost that much. The girl say no. Then how come that much? She said that opening the dashboard is a difficult task thus they charged that much. They say new model that need to open the dashboard will cost more than the average car like Proton Wira.

Fly fly my money... With that price i can do a major service to my car in Sugee Family service centre.

My wife kind of teasing me saying that i have been cheated. I just don't know because this is the first time i service my car aircon. Even my other family and friends in Labuan never thought of getting their car aircon service.

Now, my aircon back to normal. I wonder, if i just refill my gas would it be the same. To refill gas cost less than a hundred ringgit.

Give me a feedback if you think i've been cheated.
